The first painting in the Afro-Pop collection was "Rhead".

It started without anything attached, no plans to make a

collection of works, no name in mind for the collection,

but just a leap to create a new body of work that was very

true to me yet very interpretable and diverse for the world

to immerse themselves and get a guided stream of thought.   

After "Rhead" was completed and the entire collection was

finished, the term Afro-Pop had been on my mind. It

started as a collection of six works, but Afro-PoP has since

evolved into a distinct art category, as valid as pop art,

dadaism, cubism, and other movements within Fine Art.
